Twitter Bashers started innocently enough. Just a small group of folks in Austin, TX poking some fun at twitter and all the ridiculous tweets and status updates on Facebook. As momentum about twitter being the next-great-social-media-thing-that-you-have-to-be-a-part-of gained in late 2008, momentum around the good natured ribbing that TwitterBashers began to dish out began to find a following. Thus the birth of its own social media experiment - Twitter Bashers.

Of course, the original Twitter Bashers are all pretty savvy Web and social media users. It’s just that we find twitter rather annoying at this stage in its infancy as it tries to find its real voice and practical uses in the marketing world while mingling with a very personal social media application.

In reality, the site itself has a thread of irony. Note the ‘tweet this’ links to our posts. Follow us on twitter. Our ugly AdSense ads to support paying for the hosting of the site. Hey, at least we have a business model! Maybe we could consult for twitter!
